Tilcara- Jujuy  

 

In the pre-Hispanic period it was occupied by omaguacas or Humahuaca, dedicated to agriculture. They were outstanding in the fabric and pottery, domesticated the flames, their homes quadrangular were stone with thatched roofs and mud.
Among the main attractions of this stunning area of the Quebrada is El Pucara, a fortress built by Tilcaras, in addition to a defensive end also had social and religious purposes.
